[ And a whole timeskip later, after exploring Xanadu some more, Naminé ends up near the agreed upon cherry tree, clutching at the scarf around her neck nervously as she glances around for Larxene. ]
[at precisely five minutes until midnight, Larxene moves through a portal into the top branches of the tree, waiting for Namine to arrive. A slow smile curls the corner of her mouth as she approaches, pleased that she came alone. She gives the girl a minute or two to wait there in the cold before she moves, making the leaves rustle just slightly, the hood up over her head, helping her to blend into the dark of the night. Making a duplicate of herself (why risk going down there on her own), she let the duplicate drop down right behind Namine, silent, before it rose to it's feet.]
Hello, Namine. [it's was a pleasant drawl, as the duplicate reached up and removed the hood with a smirk]
[Having spent the past timeskip lurking around the cherry tree with a sack dinner and no watch, Roxas is a little less than pleased about the whole situation. He's almost asleep - well, it's cold - by the time they finally show up. The Keyblades flash automatically to his hands as he, too, steps into sight.]
[The duplicate turns slowly, smirking] Well, well. I might've known. And here I thought you said you weren't a hero? You're getting more and more like Sora every day, XIII. [her kunai knives appeared in both her hands and the duplicate's, the duplicate watching the Keybearer over her shoulder with a catlike smirk, almost daring him to advance]
[Roxas has never really had a good sense of timing, so he seizes the invitation. Barrel forward he does, Keyblades lashing out in just such a way as to deter her from getting any closer to Namine.]
[The duplicate laughed at the outburst, a high cackle. Larxene hadn't expected a fight coming here. No, she'd only hoped for one. It was so nice to get her wish]
So touchy!
[The duplicate danced back away from the blow, to the side, tossing her kunai knives at Roxas, aimed in such a way that if he dodges, they'll land right at Namine's feet]
[ On instinct, he dodges out of the way, knocking two knives off their course as he goes. He's not used to fighting with a position to defend, a hostage to guard, and it shows. Only as the kunai lands at Namine's feet does he remember. With a sharp breath, Roxas flings Oathkeeper at Larxene in a whirl - Strike Raid, go - before snapping at Namine over his shoulder. ]
[ She's snapped out of her daze by Roxas' command, and she's shaking as she takes a few quick steps back, staring down at the knives. She doesn't want to leave him, but she knows he can beat Larxene. He's Sora's Nobody, after all. Still, it feels wrong to run away, so she's reluctant as she opens a portal. ]
[oh no you didn't just open that portal, Namine. That ruins Larxene's game completely--her main goal here is to get that girl; fucking with Roxas was just a bonus. Her duplicate is caught on the arm by Oathkeeper as it goes spinning past and lodges in at the foot of the tree. While it's getting it's bearings, she herself leaps over the top and through the branches, landing between Namine and her portal, reaching to grab the girl as her duplicate tosses more kunai in Roxas's direction]
Ah ah ah. This wasn't part of the deal, Namine. [and she's opening up her own portal, wanting to drag the both of them back through it]
[ She cries out in surprise at suddenly being grabbed from behind, looking in shock up to Larxene. Alarmed, she looks back to Roxas. A duplicate...she should have known. ]
[ He can't concentrate - the battle's everywhere and for once the mission is more than just to destroy. Dodging out of the way, Roxas bites off a hurried Blizzaga for the duplicate before sprinting back to Namine, reaching to catch her by the arm. Tug of war? ]
[probably--she's not about to let go either. As the first duplicate disappears, two more emerge, moving towards Roxas, grabbing at his arms. She glances skyward, once, before a smirk curls her lips, looking straight at him]
Lightning!
[and, at her beck and call, bolts of it rain down from the sky, blinding]
