Holy cr*ap, girl, those are *great*! My shots were...truly pitiful. *laughing* I gave it a try, but finally had to call my brother--"I don't care *how* cold it is, just drag your sorry bu*tt out there & get some good shots, dang it!"
Do you mind if I link people back here tomorrow to see your post?
Thank you! I actually had some trouble at first....had to change this and that a billon times till I finally got good shots. In order to get the orange-red tones, the white uncovered part was way overexposed and halo-y.
Huh...(while typing this) I'm watching CNN and they showed pics that some random person sent in. I should totally have done that! God I'm a dork.
*face-palm* You soooo should have sent em' in. Rats! Next time, luvie. Any comets scheduled in the near future? Disintegrating spy satellites? *winks*
I took photos at a hockey game last night (just for fun) & I found myself thinking, 'What would copykween do?' I'm still boggling over your Zoom-Fu of the Clinton shots. ;)
Aww, sorry your pics didn't turn out. Night shots can take some getting used to. Did you use a tripod? If the camera moves at all in a night settings (which probably decreases the shutter speed) you'll get all sorts of blur and shaking. Even pressing the button to take the pics will cause it to shake, so you can try using a timer, so nothing is actually touching the camera when the shutter is open.
