The darkness is here. There is no question about it. Montreal has been draped in a curtain of dark blues and wishy washy grays. People have stopped looking up and everyone walks quickly on the streets hugging their coats, looking down or straight ahead; no more stopping to take in the outdoors. Halloween is great. Carving pumkins is also great. It's one of my new favorite activities. I like the idea of using nature as a canvas. I like it alot. Opening it up, digging into the cold insides, feeling your way with your hands. Changing nature with your hands. Manipulating something that has nothing to do with human intervention.
