[Day 21 | Communicator]

[He’s using the communicator. Why? Because it’s something that seems like a device back in the agency. Which made him itchy to begin with but right now if the BPRD wanted to step in he wouldn’t be upset. His voice is deep and gruff, unamused]

Looking for the exit out of this place. Anyone out there willin’ ta give me some directions?

Oh, hello, you must be new.

[Her voice get much less cheerful, and there's a distinct tinge of regret to it.]

I'm really very sorry, but well, we're all rather... stuck here.

See... [There was a pause, like he was taking a moment to gather his thoughts, before pointing out that:] I never much liked that whole 'stuck here' thing myself. Unless you can give me a good reason why I can't, I don't plan on being stuck here long.

[She pauses to look around her surroundings.]

Well we don't seem to actually be anywhere at the moment. Which I suppose is an improvement; yesterday we were no where and upside down. Today we're only lurching a little. Oh! The Carnival jumps between worlds you see, so we don't usually stay one place for too long.

Even when we are places though.... Well, I've only heard things, but it seems like, very, very bad things happen when people try to escape. Or don't come back from field trips on time.

[Excuse him. He really is paying attention... but he was silent... for a good amount of time. You can hear him though, once in a while.. making a small sound, or pacing a bit.]

Ah.... worlds? I was wondering about the... movement. The lurchin'. It... moves?
