I finally had my first non-Medieval (am so unsure of what to call this - it's no longer my Renaissance Lit. class... is it Early Modern? Civil War? Restoration? Actually, Prince Rupert *fangirl squee* wasn't Charles' son, he was his nephew. And he had a little dog, a poodle I think, that ran alongside his horse in battle. The parlimentarians thought it was possessed by the devil. Boo to them.

I'm a little bit in love with the idea of "Richard the Rubbish." Not so much with Charles II, but that might be due to an unfortunate experience with "Astraea Redux" last semester...
