Home after a fashion, at least. I am back in St. Louis, and at this juncture, it really only seems appropriate to come back to LiveJournal, as well. I am sure that late nights in Olin Library with their wireless connection would be less entertaining if I weren't making angry posts about the illnesses of the students around me ( Read more... )

Ah, you get here today too! I must visit campus! What have I been doing, awake since noon, and not even showered to come meet you and Laura (also moving in today, as I recall)??

Tony starting moving into his apartment yesterday, and is probably doing more of that as we speak. Holy shit, I went from no contact with Wash U to OMG EVERYONE IS MOVING IN in like, no time.

I actually moved in last Monday (the 13th), IF you can believe it. I am thus all moved in. Still trying to decide where to put your fabulous poster. I'll make sure to keep it warm for you until you come back.

Apparently I do not know how it goes in the Lou, because that has, somehow, never happened to me. It's pretty much just The Cheesecake Factory, maybe a movie, and bed, actually. I did not share this information with him. But at least he bought a $600 ad contract.

You rock so much more than he ever will. :D

Tomorrow, I am going with the sales manager to talk to a man who runs a hookah bar. We are running a high class establishment, with high class clientelle.

I must say, Olin owns the New College library, which is reminiscent of a public library circa 1970. Hopefully I'll have the presence of mind to set up camp there this year and actually get work done. (*mutters* Blasted thesis...)

It's been such a relief to be back in the Lou--a lack of hookahs and 3 AM stonedness aside--and so good to see you. I hadn't realize how much I missed WashU.

It is nice to be back, in a lot of ways (although I just went for a jog and, while Olin rocks it, the McWilliams Fitness Center made me very nostalgic for University Parks...) Mainly, I am so glad I got to spend the weekend with you and Kevin! I was looking forward to it all week, and it was fantastic! Thank you for including me in your plans! Now go have some fun, you crazy kids! Tell Kevin I revoke his right to snorkel. He knows.

Mainly that I don't use lj, and have no clue how to contact you other than through a post. So, sorry about the major off-topicness of this.

I've been reading through the archives of pottersues, and I just finished your fic (okay, not the entire thing, but the sample shown to us). AMAZING! Utterly brilliant!

...That's really all I wanted to say. Once again, sorry about the offtopicness.
