With everything else that's occupying my brain right now (school, work, christmas, no time, arrrrgh) it's weird to notice how much I am also stressed out by the very flawed BCS ranking system and the outcome of today's games. Really, it's just football. But, I mean, it's football.

I'd been hoping we'd get a rematch against OSU, but there's not exactly much that can be done at this point. Still, it's kind of annoying: we lost to only one team, and that was OSU, and that was on their turf by three points after making quite a number of stupid mistakes. We could very well have won that if things had gone slightly different.

I know! That's exactly it, too, that bothers me so much. Well, that and a few other things (including the 'coulda been' for Rutgers had things gone a little differently for them). But seriously, Michigan lost it by a field goal. That's a drop in the bucket in such a high scoring game, and it really could have gone either way. Had there been another 5 minutes in that game, Michigan could very well have won.

And Florida?!! You've got to be kidding. I mean, they *almost* lost four games to unranked teams! If you're in the top 5, you should be securing your wins by a much stronger margin, and the game they lost was to Auburn, ranked #11 at the time. Whereas Michigan lost to Ohio State, ranked #1, by a mere 3 points, in their last game of the season with no time to make up ground, but played better across the season and was blowing highly ranked teams out of the water. It's ridiculous.

The whole system just pisses me off.

Yeah they need to go to a +1 or 4 team playoff system. Every year theres still a question as to who really should be playing. Florida is going to get waxed by OSU after we wax USC. GO BLUE!!!

Florida IS going to get waxed by OSU. And if they don't, the fates and I are going to have to take it outside over this whole friggin season. I am not a happy fan.
