Ooh! Maybe he's a donkey! "Horse" has never felt exactly right; maybe that's why. To be honest, every time I look at him I think for a moment he's a unicorn, only without a horn. That's just what his head shape reminds me of, I guess.
As for personal digs at the mail carriers (we have two who share this route, and I think Mondays it's the woman), I can only think she 1) had a chuckle, and then 2) had a hell of a time shoving the single bill that was our mail that day into the box, what with him hogging all the room. Seriously -- one piece of mail, and it was crumpled in order to make it fit. But of our mail carriers, she's my favorite.
And, if it is a unicorn, you wouldn't be able to SEE the horn anyway, would you? So, it could be. Unless the horns are visible to mortals when they die. I don't remember, it's been so long since I've seen a dead unicorn.
*dawning recognition* I remember something somewhere about not being able to see a unicorn's horn, but that little tidbit, were it true, has not been honored in my more recent encounters with depictions of unicorns. Is that supposed to be the deal, that you can't see the horn?
I intend to, thanks! Because if it's a joke, then I'm keeping with the spirit of things. If it's a threat, I'm neutralizing (or ignoring) it. And if it's random, well then what is more appropriate than taking odd photographs of my new cement friend engaged in random activities!
Paint him? Holy crap, I wouldn't even know how or where to begin. I have only the longings of an artistic bone in my body -- no sign of an actual artistic bone has yet been detected.
Dude, the hydrangeas are SO alive and kicking. They're impressing the hell out of me, especially considering we planted them like, oh, three months ago? They have just taken OFF. It's incredible.
I figured jigglers were a good place to start; I had regular Jello when I was sick, so it's kinda different by being chewier. Island Pineapple/Orange, 3:1. Ooooh, those sound SO delicious. I want the recipe! (Even though my husband won't eat anything that has even been in the vicinity of cream cheese, which seriously cramps my baking style, I make do. And occasionally lie.

Deer CJ,
Eet waz me, Sincerelys, ur favorite stalker.
Not really, but that's a great spin to put on it with the roaming gnome concept. Other than I imagine it weighs a ton, I'd think it'd be great to ship it around the country, on an adventure.
