Because however she reacted last week... she does care about Bubbles, so much, and maybe she wasn't as close to that little girl as Riku was, but dammit, on top of Naruto leaving only a week or two earlier? It hurts. And she's not sure if she's ready to get up and face that yet.]

The bar he could have dealt with. Sure, you invited his brother, the person who killed him and the last person he would have expected you to want to be around. Sure, you basically invited Kurapica to have his way with you. Sure, you and Raven made complete idiots of yourselves and he got into a fight with Mirielle defending those actions, and therefore had words with JL, also over those actions. He could have dealt with that.
But Bubbles had been on of the people he loves the most. There were tiers to his affection, and Bubbles had always been at the top <>(Matched only by his loyalty and love for Sora, and his respect and love for Ukitake, and now his understanding and love of you.)
