Lady Alanna Jade (11:27:54 PM): In Undercity's Magic Quarter two elves stood in one of the casting circles tucked back out of the way of the general populace. The first was a tall dark haired elf, who seemed nearly spastic as he observed the circle before him. The second shorter elf sported a garish orange-red coat and stood back from the circle looking almost afraid that it would hurt him.
"I still don't see why I have to be here for this," Grr grumbled eying Seregmir warily. It wasn't everyday that his brother summoned him to Undercity of all places to assist in an experiment. "If I leave here with a tail, I am murdering you."
The tall thin elf rolled his eyes in return. "I told you there's no physical danger. I just needed blood that wasn't mine. In fact, you can leave now. I have no need of you other than the bit that's in this vial." He held the vial in question up and shook it at his brother.
"Yeah, no. That's my blood and I want to see what you do with it."
aelandrasunblood (11:35:17 PM): Passing through Undercity was one of the more unpleasant things in life. Tolerating it was putting it nicely, and the mage found it increasingly difficult not to gag and make a show of covering her face with a perfumed handkerchief. Sadly enough, it was closer to teleport to the Forsaken capital to board a zeppelin than any other place.
Delicately stepping around a puddle of...something on the slimey stoneway, the mage walked briskly towards in the inner ring of the Magic Quarter, wanting to be out of Undercity as soon as elvenly possible.
As always, she is far too neat and clean for such a disgusting, mildew ridden city, her pale blonde hair and sky blue robes making her stick out sorely from her fellow comrades.
Lady Alanna Jade (11:41:52 PM): Grr was mid-rant about things his blood should not be used for, when a bit of unexpected familiar caught his eye. He trailed off, his head tilting sideways and his eyes following her path. A grin crossed his lips as he took in her pretty obviously disgruntled appearance. Far too dainty for the Undercity, was she?
He shift his weight so he could lean against the nearby wall like the badass he was as he called out to her. "What's the rush Little Bird?"
aelandrasunblood (11:44:53 PM): Oh that familiar voice and that sun-be-damned nickname causes Aelandra to go stock still, as if someone had poured ice water right down the back of her robe.
Whirling in place, Aelandra gives Grr a wide-eyed look, and a forced, sugary smile soon spreads over her face.
"Greetings, Grr."
Lady Alanna Jade (11:50:25 PM): The shovel-wielding elf couldn't help but snort at the look on her face and the hello. "Well, Greetings indeed."
The snort drew Seregmir's attention from his casting circle. The gaunt elf looked Aelandra over with a critical eye, quickly taking everything in, from head to toe, before he let out a snort of his own. "How boring," he bemoaned before glaring at Grr. "This is delicate spellwork. Don't let the little mage interrupt."
aelandrasunblood (11:53:28 PM): The blonde's eyes cut briefly to Ser, and her smile widens as she turns to leave.
"Far be it from me to interrupt spellcasting. Good day Grr, I shall see you another day!"
Lady Alanna Jade (11:59:47 PM): "Well hold up there little bird! You're running away so quick, I'd almost think you didn't like me! It'll give me a complex. Don't mind the idiot here, I think he was just bored and decided he wanted to wipe blood on the walls." Grr pushed himself off the wall and moved closer to Aelandra.
"Oh I'm the idiot?" Seregmir remarked caustically, following his brother. "You're the one lowering the IQ of the entire Quarter just by breathing. Besides she likes you well enough. She's looking over your shoulder instead of at you, and see how her body's angled? Seen you naked, has she? Don't answer that. I already know the answer, of course."
aelandrasunblood (12:07:02 AM): The mage paused, quietly groaning as she heard Grr continue to call after her, briefly reaching up to pinch the bridge of her nose. Breathing in deeply, Aelandra turned back towards the taller blonde, opening her mouth to respond.
However, before she can even peep, Ser has gone off on his tangent, leaving Aelandra utterly speechless. Gawking a bit as the rather tall elf, she flushes brightly for a moment before composing herself.
"Well! Greeting to you too," the mage remarks with a polite, overly cold tone. "I don't believe we've had the pleasure of meeting."
Lady Alanna Jade (12:16:13 AM): Grr rolled his eyes, far too used to Sere to even comment. Instead, he did the polite thing for once and made introductions. "Ah. Little Bird, meet Seregmir Thorondil. Don't let him get to you, he's not right in the head."
The taller elf ran a hand through his dark locks annoyed. "You're one to talk, Corandin. Oh, I'm sorry. Graverobber. You did a good job of naming this one at least. Not a single feather out of place, oh how careful she is."
His eyes took in her form again, before the right side of his mouth cocked up into a wry grin. "Oh what a pair you are!"
aelandrasunblood (12:18:38 AM): Seregmir's earlier rudeness slips by her at the mention of Grr's true name, her ears slowly perking upright with interest. Ignoring the spaz (painfully ignoring him, though internally she was hyperventilating and desperately wanting to run), Aelandra tilted her head at the messy blonde, a tiny little smirk on her mouth.
"Corandin," she sighs. "Now that is a name much more suitable than Grr. Shame you didn't give me a proper introduction earlier."
Lady Alanna Jade (12:27:20 AM): The broad elf acutally growled the moment his name slipped from Seregmir's lips, and again when it left Ael's. His fists clenched in his coat. "No. Don't call me that. Either of you." He glared at Sere for good measure before turning seriously to Ael. "Forget you heard it. It's not who I am."
Seregmir rolled his eyes at the dramatics. "How precious."
aelandrasunblood (12:30:30 AM): "I won't call you that if you can actually call me by name and not that sun-forsaken nickname you use for me."
The mage gives Grr a calculating look, her brows furrowing. Something was telling her that she had something to hold over the dirty elf who served as her personal meat shield.
Lady Alanna Jade (12:37:17 AM): Seregmir chuckls at her expression and begins talking before Grr can even answer. "Blackmailing him won't work."
He steps closer to her, completely ingorning the so called personal bubble to sniff a bit at her. "You're hiding something. Something big. Not work related. You're a mage of reasonable rank, no big enemies there. So personal. Family perhaps, hm?" He pauses waiting for her reaction.
aelandrasunblood (12:42:29 AM): "W-what? What are you talking about? What do you mean?"
The little mage is quick to step away from Seregmir, near tripping over her hem as she seeks to regain her personal space. Her expression is troubled, ears pinned back, but there's coldness in her eyes.
"You ask far too many questions," Aelandra remarks stiffly. "You would do best to keep them to yourself."
Lady Alanna Jade (12:51:04 AM): "I'm not asking any questions at all. I don't need to ask. I'm telling you what's glaringly obvious. I---"
Grr chose this moment to speak back up. "Down Seregmir. She's not used to you, and let's hope she's not around you enough to ever do so hm?" The grave robber's eyes trailed back to Aelandra.
The warlock rolled his eyes, "How boring of you, brother. Always keeping me from my fun."
"Yeah well, I you made your point I think, hm?"
aelandrasunblood (12:53:31 AM): "I think I understand why you want to be called Grr. I think I'd want to be someone else if I had family like that," Aelandra remarks pointedly, reaching up to smooth her hair down, as if any of it was out of place.
Lady Alanna Jade (1:00:40 AM): Seregmir rolled his eyes at the both of them. He huffed and turned back to his spell circle, but not without the parting shot, "Boring!"
The warrior seemed to get back to his normal self with a bit of distance between Aelandra and Seregmir. "Any name I choose to go by has nothing to do with him," he remarked with a shrug. "And I'm not gonna apologize for him, you did try to use my own name to maniuplate me, after all Little Bird. Tsk tsk. Instead we'll play it this way. Now, he's likely got you all figured out by now. He does that. So let's make a deal. You conviently forget my name, and I won't ask him about your secrets."
aelandrasunblood (1:03:38 AM): "Asking nicely doesn't work with you," the mage snaps, seeming to lose a bit of her cool as Sere walks off, her eyes rolling to stare at his back. "I don't have any secrets. He's just a freak like you. Unlike you, I'll call you Grr because I have common decency to call you what -you- want to be called, even though you don't deserve it."
She's unrattled now, pale and trembling.
"I have to go, Grr, I'm going to be late, and the smell of this place is making me queasy."
Lady Alanna Jade (1:08:27 AM): Grr chuckled, "You go on then Little Bird. You really shouldn't have let him get to you so. You're just confirming it all. Maybe take a nice relaxing bath. I have personal experience that your tub is quite nice."
aelandrasunblood (1:15:07 AM): Oh, and the Little Bird does ruffle her feathers then, eyes narrowing as the chilly aura around her goes unbearably cold, the stones under her feet forming a thin sheet of ice upon them.
"Certainly," she remarks. "Let me tell you how I feel about that."
Bringing her magic to her quickly, Aelandra attempts to cast polymorph upon the elf before her, wishing to make him a fat little piggy.
Lady Alanna Jade (1:20:31 AM): As attuned as he is, Grr feels it when she begins to cast, but being unarmed he's powerless to stop it. He accepts his new form with ill grace, already plotting retaliation.
Feeling the chill, Seregmir turns back to the duo and chuckles. Mayhem, discord, and chaos. His job here is done.
aelandrasunblood (1:21:46 AM): Huffing, the mage turns on her heel and stalks away. She was done. She would not tolerate Grr's antics anymore, and she would be damned to go anywhere near Seregmir.
Tomorrow, she would be requesting a new escort, Spire be damned.
Lady Alanna Jade (1:25:06 AM): Seregmir watched the mage stalk off with a tiny bit of disappointment. She hadn't even asked -how- he'd figured out all the things about here. Females were so emotional. Well, at least he had the continued entertainment of his polymorphed brother. If his calculations were correct he'd have just enough time to fully commit the site of it to memory before the spell wore off.
Blackmail material all around!
