Ok, this is not a good day, either. My former next-door-neighbor Walt Cooney died today from brain cancer. He was the most awesome old guy that ever existed, and I will miss him lots. But that's all I have to say right now... forgive me if I am bitchy... two deaths in three days is not a good record.

God, my grandmother died this week. Damn damn DAMN! We didn't even expect it, she was sick for a while, but was getting better when she all of a sudden had a stroke and died. This is very sad for me... I loved her a lot! And what's even worse? I can't go to the funeral because I'm flying back to Grinnell on the same day... and it would just be too ( Read more... )

so I hear that we're not getting the IB reception rescheduled... but we're supposed to go in to pick up our stuff. Does anyone want to meet on some day for this? I think it would be much much much more fun with friends! I'm free all week... just let me know!

Gods... another snowed in evening! I don't know if that statement needs any further elaboration or not, but it basically means I am restricted to the internet when I think about any kind of traveling... and entertainment as well. ah, the snow. I suppose it isn't nearly as bad here as in other places... but it certainly is snowing! Yay... and not yay. I wish the IB thing hadn't been cancelled... but as I am still slightly sick, I suppose the enforced day of rest is a good thing!

Anyhow, if anyone isn't snowed in tomorrow... give me a call and we could go do something!

Ick. I had to venture into the hated realm of Nordstrom's today to spend a gift certificate that I got for graduation...
