How does one motivate a class at 9:30 AM? This is the theme of the moment. I'm vexed, since the last time I did this one it was nothing if not entertaining. But with this group, I feel like I'm reading Kirkegaard to dolphins. Any suggestions would be taken under close advisement.

Donuts! And snark. When I taught Latin 204 at 9:55, I would overplay the morning crankiness/hangover/just plain exhausted part. They thought it was hilarious.
