*waves* from Flu-ville

On the second day of giftmas, yon flu has finally abated enough that I can stop being grateful for merely being alive and start being ungratefully sulky bout all the things I've missed/am missing. I feel like I'm missing out on all the giftmas cheer and get-togethers. Being sick for giftmas SUCKS ( Read more... )

Greetings from Immunityville. You should know that even while bedridden you managed to contribute to my holiday joy. I received the post card you sent from the UK on Christmas Eve Day. It made me smile.

And for goodness sake woman hoard those smashed potatoes. And anything else you can cram into your belly. Though it might have shrunken a little bit, so be nice to your tummy. Just keep filling it with whatever it will take.

Being sulky is a predictable part of my illnesses, but it probably is a good sign (like stitches getting itchy) that you are on the road to recovery!

Hope things are getting better and better.

Having just gotten through not feeling well while away, I feel the suckage. It was probably 1/100 of what you went through, but it still sucked.

Hope things keep getting better and that you're back to awesomeness in no time!

Thanks hun! Still not 100%, but the residual effects seem mostly physical fallout from four or five days of not eating. Yesterday's xmas dinner was postponed again, so I had my first true meal in days today. *happydances*

Dunno if this applies in your case, but I swear by acidophilus for helping my body recover from the typical traveler's plague. (It just replenishes the good stomach/intestinal populations after they've been knocked out of balance by the bad.) I carry pills, but you could just eat yogurt to get it all natural-like. Regardless, I hope you're feeling better too!

I'm enjoying the little updates you've been posting from waaaaaaaay over there. :)
