Had a fantastic, fantastic weekend absconding with tormenta on a long-planned trip to Niagara-on-the-Lake. Well, except that we only spent a few hours there in the end. We spent most of our time further afield. Specifically in and among the grape fields.

David Suzuki on global warming and climate change
On Tuesday I went to hear David Suzuki speak at the University of Waterloo. People say he's preaching to the converted at these talks, but his point is that he's passing on a message, and it's up to us to keep it moving, to pass it on again and again to other people. The wild life
Spotted this eve: One muskrat a'swimming, two geese a'hissing, thirteen goslings a'waddling, one skunk a'skulking, and more-ducks-than-I could-count a'ducking. Also hints of frogs, toads, cats, and other anonymous beasties. Hello Spring. -
It doesn't get much more convenient than that
There's a gang of people setting off fireworks in the parking lot of the daycare next door to us. This means all I had to do to get a great fireworks display tonight was pull up the living room blinds.
