Strange nights

Apr 03, 2009 23:57

I didn't sleep at all last night, and I'm going to be up again tonight. Ma had a very odd episode Wednesday night. While still asleep she apparently sat up on the edge of her bed and emptied most of her nightstand drawer into the wastebasket. She then turned her wheelchair so that it was facing towards the door rather than towards her bed. Either ( Read more... )

Yay! New icon!

Sorry about your ma. I hope it's a blip.

Yes on family - I saw a photo of my great-grandma not so long ago, and she looks a lot like me. I also know who to thank for my hair.

(btw, I don't think your cut worked)

Yes, I saw that the cut didn't take this morning. Crankiness ensued, but I'm going to keep trying.

Another night of peaceful sleep for Ma. She's relieved/nervous. I'm relieved/tired. She's agreed to let me call the doctor if it happens again. We're both hoping not since getting her out of this place is still next to impossible.

If it's any consolation, I've been sleep walking for 20 something years and never hurt myself. Others, yes, the house, yes, but not myself. In my sleep I perform super human feats of strength and stupidity so maybe your mum will be the same.

Thanks for friending me back! Nice to meet you. I've saved your webpage to my Favorites. Severus Snape is definitely one of my favorite Potterverse characters. Holding a grudge is a big league sport in my family (on my dad's side I have relatives who are still narked about how the Bold '45 turned out), so I got some fellow feeling for the character after reading the first three books all at one time. I love good writing, and after I read Fancy a Fuck? I found your webpage which led me to your LJ.

So far no further episodes of Ma sleepwalking. I did sleepwalk for a few months when I was 6 or 7, but nothing since (that I know about). Funny though, now that the story has gotten round via the family grapevine it seems that several of my maternal cousins and their children have the tendency, though Ma doesn't remember if her sister or any of her brothers did.
