I mean, it was terribly on-the-nose, but I found parts of genuinely creepy, and I always like it when we get the occasional episode where they just have to deal with people being fucked-up, rather than monsters. I suppose partly it's just that they used to cast much more charismatic actors for the angels - Metatron is, like, the least charismatic person in showbiz. And so many of the rest are played by very forgettable, blandly attractive people with no distinguishing features. At least if Gadreel comes back we'll get more Tahmoh.

Agree about the angels, and frankly I think the only reason they still have angels on the show is to keep Cas around. They outlived their expiration date seasons ago.
