I am about five episodes behind on SPN and extremely tangled in my reactions to it, so I'm mostly here to wave.
*waves*
Sometimes those holding pattern stress times are worse than acute crises. There's something about having an immediate decision forced on you NOW this moment that can make you feel competent, whereas I, at least, am reduced to dreary dither by knowing I have to make choices in some general way over a long period of time. Good luck with it all.
Dreary dithering is an excellent summation of the situation, yes. How are you? How are the cats, and the parents? What are you being fannish about these days?
(By dint of pretending that the previous two seasons don't actually exist, I'm enjoying SPN quite a bit. There is simply no way to reconcile or de-tangle my feelings about them, and if I think about any of it too hard, I get very frustrated. But they've achieved some sort of equilibrium which is allowing me to enjoy the process of watching each week, as long as I try not to poke at it too much.)

Also, ugh, holding patterns of stress. :/ Really hope that gets sorted out to a better situation for you.
