I just had an amazing experience. I was sitting out on our back porch, and this little half-grown bird just comes right up and starts cheeping at me. He let me touch him. He ate from my hand. It was wondrous.
Looking it up, I think he was a brown thrasher. Though, they have yellow eyes and his were a pale greyish color.
