I have only had delicious things from one of those places! (Geno's, and it was a half cheesesteak, re-heated *g*) So I can't judge. But it sure was good.
As Dr. D just said, with Geno's "the meat slides down easier, the onions are better and the rolls are Amaroso's". The rolls are a big factor in the cheesesteak wars around here.
Of course, ask fellow foodies and we all agree that DiNic's Roast Pork is the Philly sandwich that crushes ALL cheesesteaks...
I have only had a "Philly" cheese steak once in my life. It was in the bar at the Port Clinton Hotel.... and I had walked a few hundred miles to get there...
