Because life just isn't fair

My little brother Juan went into the hospital yesterday afternoon. We didn't know he was diabetic, but he had a blood sugar level of 2900 when he went in.(300 is considered dangerously high) While I was there, they got his blood sugar down to 1900, which is still ridiculously high, and found that his pancreas wasn't looking too great. I hate saying "I'm sorry" too...so I'll say that you have my absolute sincerest condolences.

Juan was a good kid. All over the walls, ceiling, and backyard, but you could see that he loved you despite what situations he got into.

For what it's worth, let me know if there's anything I can do.

Everyone keeps asking what they can do, and it sounds awful and greedy to say "Send money!", but that's the one thing my mom needs right now, so if anyone wants to help, even a few bucks is great. Juan's social security was 2/3 of my mom's income, and she was already pretty damn poor. So, if ya wanna send a little check to her PO box, that would be nice. If not, that's fine too, of course. We don't actually expect anyone to do anything for us, but since you offered, I figured I'd go ahead and put that out there. I mostly assume that when people say "is there anything I can do", they don't really exactly expect you to go "Yeah, I want a pony!", but if anyone wants to make my mom's shitty life a little easier, $20 to put gas in the car or whatever is nice. Am I being all vulturey? I really hope I'm not. It's just that I can't pay all my bills and all of hers too, but I really would if I could. She's totally overwhelmed with how she's going to pay for rent and groceries and stuff without Juan's checks.
