I'm not really going to order (don't even have a PayPal orz), but I'd like to say that these are very pretty and functional things. Wish I could get one myself, though I have issues with the trimming.

They're irregular, though it's probably because of the material, not to mention that they don't stand out because the box itself is mostly in black. Maybe you could liven them up with a bit of colored yarn, or weave in some beads, or something, I dunno.

But I love the butterflies!

Thank you~

By "trim," do you mean the lace? Because that can be left off or replaced with some other lace. I chose the one I did to be similar to the lace pattern in the 【magnet】 art.

If by "irregular," you mean the straightness of the sides, particularly on the pink one, that's my own fault for taking pictures of it as soon as I finished making it. I didn't take the time to straighten the sides, which can get squished during assembly. Using stiff canvas will eliminate the necessity to straighten it, but that's a bit more expensive. However, if by "irregular," you mean the surface texture... well, it's yarn looped around plastic canvas. It won't be uniform.

Regarding the color contrast, I realized after taking photos that the ideal color for the top center would probably be a silvery gray. So, yay for customization!

If I've missed the point on one of your comments, please clarify.

Thank you for the constructive criticism.♥

By "trimming" I meant the lace, and by "irregular" I also meant the lace, since it looked a tad ruffled to me. (Yeah, incorrect paragraph breaks are incorrect.:/)

The textures are okay, IMHO, and if they were ever crooked (they don't look so in the pictures), that would just add to the endearing charm of a little woven box. One rightly wouldn't expect it to be entirely perfect--merely give the illusion of it. Besides, they're mostly in black, so it's not that noticeable.

Yeah, silvery gray would be nice, as would most other metallic colors, since they do a nice job of adding highlights and look soft and light--kind of the gossamer-y effect on butterfly wings.

And you're very welcome.:)

Hmm~ I think the lace looks irregular because each loop has been pressed into a slightly different shape. Perhaps if I got the lace damp and shaped it carefully it would be even. However, that would probably be tousled by shipping, anyway.

Are you not ordering just because you don't have PayPal?

orz orz I wish I lived in California T__T or at least in the USA. Why does everything awesome pop out of there? *cry*

I want one of these but my mum will most likely chuck a fit. I mean, I got her to buy me a $70 wig and a $100 necklace. Is there any chance that this might somehow make it overseas?

"Is there any chance that this might somehow make it overseas?"
Yes, look at "Pricing":
» Shipping, Outside US: $10
» Insured Shipping: add $5

So the basic, no-extras version (as pictured) would cost you $35 or $40.

Whereabouts are you located?

I strongly doubt you'll be at Anime Expo in Los Angeles this July, but they'll be available there. I'm considering taking orders/payments in advance and having people pick them up at the the con so they don't have to pay shipping.

...$35/$40 isn't too bad? And it's great for holding headphones and iPods and sewing materials...
