So how does one go about adding alt text? is it just adding alt="decription" inside the image tag? < img src="url" alt="descrpition" >
Or is there more to it than that?

That's it.♥
If you use Bauble to make icon tables, you can cheat and input the alt tags in the form and have it auto-add so you can easily match the description with the correct icon and not miss one. Whatever you put in the text field for the image URLs gets put in between quotation marks in an image tag.
So if you paste just a url, it's like this:
< img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v296/Cor-chan/ljicons/CAPSLOCKU/CAPSLOCKU014.png" >
But if you include an ending quotation mark to end the src and the alt=" to begin the alt tag, but don't close the alt tag, the form closes it for you, like so:
< img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v296/Cor-chan/ljicons/CAPSLOCKU/CAPSLOCKU014.png" alt="[image of blue sky, cream clouds at bottom with gray airplane silhouette] text: THIS IS NOT ( ... )
