Seriously, WTF?!?!
I have been saying since the quarterfinals that I wasn't so much rooting for the French as I was rooting for Zidane, who I really wanted to see go out on top.
And to see him FLAGRANTLY foul like that, away from the pitch, basically just lashing out -- I can understand being pissed off and tired and hurt and sick of what was undoubtedly some serious-shit trash-talking, but COME ON! You're the captain of your team, you KNOW this might well go to penalty kicks, you know two of the other best players on your team are already on the bench, and you risk a RED CARD?! In the second overtime of the World Cup Final?!?
Just incomprehensible, and heartbreakingly bad form.
