No, I meant the subplot ABOUT the actors, coming to town, who I'm vaguely curious about but not enough to spend as much time on them as we have. Everyone else, I adore.

Trixie and Sol are totally my OTP, I should have mentioned.

Al has had flashes of self-awareness and compassion throughout the series, as in his dealings with Jewel, the handicapped woman -- that's the razor-edge they have walked with him throughout, making him 3D without softening him.
