You know, I remember Sisters as being a much better show than it apparently was.

Or is it just that my standards, in this so-called Golden Age of television, have gotten that much higher?

Yes. Try watching (re-watching) Murphy Brown sometime. I was so, SO disappointed to see how it paled, now, since the Golden Age commenced. *sigh*

The only one I've rewatched is the JF episode, which is from after I stopped watching because it went downhill. It's a standard sitcom of the time -- what was groundbreaking for it was the character, not so much the form.
