So I'm sitting here in my office eyeballing Jess's new awesome monitor, wearing a viking helmet, and sipping a Coke Zero. I feel very accomplished. In three days, Jess and I more or less got everything we needed for our Dragon*Con costumes. That makes his about 80% done, and mine more like... 20%. So between us we have one working costume

What about rare earth magnets? That's how I'll be holding the visor for my Snake Eyes costume on myself. Depending on the thickness of the material I might have a hodgepodge of ones that might work; otherwise www.amazingmagnets.com is where I purchased mine from and they come in a crap-ton of varieties. (Plus they got here within less than a week.) Anyway good luck on the costume.
