They hung like anchors, preventing flight. A murdered albatross, but the blood was visible only to her.

Amy, this is gorgeous, gorgeous and I love the way you subverted the evil stepmother trope and your prose, ah! Thank you.

A murdered albatross, but the blood was visible only to her.

I really love this. It's such a perfect, sharp, complete little character study and it's all there.

Lilith (/Satan), I hate the ending myself, but it started with an alright scene, pg onehoureternity September 21 2011, 02:25:48 UTC
She refused to lie beneath Adam, and when he tried to force her, she left him. No man would make her subserviant, no man, and certainly not angels. They tell her she must go back, but she merely laughed at them and sneered. She has her demons now, and her children, her marvelous Lilin. She needed nothing else.

EEEK. Coherency is somewhere else. Not here. Somewhere else. This place is a place where everything is morbid and fascinating and somewhere, in the afterlife, Angela Carter has poured herself a drink and is toasting us all.
