This is gorgeous, dear, and perfectly detached. It's funny, the line with "this is what the papers want to write about" because I'm certain I have seen paparazzi photos of Marion and Guillaume kissing on their balcony or something else so private. And it's so interesting how different the three are; I think you balanced them really well.

There is something slightly strange (not in a bad way, not even really strange, I just can't think of another word that works) about this. It's like each section is very self-contained and crowed and yet together they paint this large picture full of echoes and it really fits your Marion.

The last section is perfection. Every word of it.

I'm glad it feels that way given how scrambled together this fic was to writer, eh. As usual, your feedback is the best feedback.

Oh my gooooooooood, dude. This is really, really amazing. I was out super late tonight and I'm half-passed out already, but I couldn't wait to read this and I'm glad I didn't wait because it is SO. GOOD. Like to the point I'm not sure I can be coherent about it. The prose was absolutely gorgeous. While I liked all three, I have to say, I'm weirdly fond of the JGL sections, particularly in contrast with the Guillaume sections (also amaaaaaaaazzing). I thought they felt sharp, whereas the Guillaume sections felt softer, rounded by intimacy, I guess. SO GOOD.

And the last part... how the promises to yourself are the hardest to keep? Ugh. Beautiful.

Ah, I'm so glad you liked it; I knew about your JGL/Marion feelings but wasn't sure if you'd like the whole infidelity things as a piece (and all my Marion RPF canon is tied in with all the Marion/Eva I've written, lol).

(All RPF needs to be Marion RPF. I can ship her all over the shop, tbqh.)

I loved it!  I actually don't mind infidelity at all - I said I didn't like it in my yuletide thing, but it's mostly because I like infidelity written in a certain way and it's invariably written by most people in a way that kind of skeeves me out.  This is definitely the way I like it.  After re-reading, I am now fully obsessed with the Marion/JGL plotline here.  I need moreeee! :D

I devoured this like an it was an oasis in a very, very large desert. I love your writing and especially about these lovelies in particular. And this. was. delicious.

Thank you, darling!

Remember that amazing summer when everything was French lesbian actors? That was the best.
