the whispering kind
harry potter. harry/hermione. for anythingbutgrey. (only six minutes late!) i'm afraid this has very little (if anything) to do with your prompt. Still, after all these years, she appreciates the way Harry rings the doorbell. r. 1300 words.

They live in these moments of forgotten time; under her shirt, she still wears the little hourglass. Sometimes, her fingers close around it and wonder.

I love the way you write Hermione. There's such nostalgia and it fits her well.

Added to memories. Your synesthetic language is to die for. Lots of beautiful lines, imagery I wouldn't even think would connect, but are so poetic and so befitting Hermione it just works. Especially the last, "Under her clothes, she can still feel the touch of his hands. It sits on her skin like a whisper." Gorgeous prose. Would have wanted a justification for the existence of a Harry/Hermione affair, but still a well-written piece. ^_^

Gorgeous. I was so happy to see that you had written new H/Hr fic.

I am particularly in love with this bit:

They are too old now to squirm or play at guilt; they have played this game of repetition for far too long.
