Good God! Great post! The owner of hermionepotter.net must have been living in a dreamworld for the past 8 years. I ask this question, not to be snarky, but as a honest to goodness serious question -- what books was this person reading? Because they are obviously not the same books that I read. I mean that with all the seriousness I can muster. Before I was shipper, and before I was even I fan of the series, I read HP Book1 and knew almost immediately that Ron & Hermione were eventually headed for each other's arms. Certainly no one who has EVER experienced romantic love (whether requited or unrequited) could read Goblet of Fire and not realize what Rowling had planned between R&H. It was all right there from the very beginning, and it has certainly been there in SPADES since Goblet of Fire. If some people refuse to see it, that is their fault, not Rowling's.
