today i was thinking about what im gonna do when i grow up. i told my parents i wanted to go into writing or history, or some other liberal arts major. i dont think they accept the fact i dont like engineering very much. they keep telling me to write for a hobby, cuz it wont pay the bills lke engineering. i dont think my parents are like that on me, lol i think i am like that to me.

because my parents would send my sister and i to my grama's for weeks at a time so they could just work harder and we could chill and go back when we had enough food to last a while...being in the projects with my grama wasnt too fun...well lets just say, financial security is my number one priority. lol which is why i'm going to a liberal arts college, BUT taking the engineering thing they have there. that way i can MINOR in women's studies or whatever. w00t.

i guess im not that worried about financial security because we have been lucky enough have enough money. but i see your point

Going back to your scenario...sure you'd be well off, but would that make you happy? Would you be enjoying life, and living it to the fullest? Money just corrupts people, thats all. And it definately isn't everything. I think you should pursue what makes you happy.

I saw a shirt that says "I have degree in Liberal Arts. Would you like fries with that?" I think I'll get it for you. My cousin is doing something with liberal arts too.
