I re-read it just now, and I find that, almost three years out, I don't hate it nearly as much as I did at the time. As I said in my author's note, the fic took me somewhere unexpected, and I wasn't necessarily comfortable with how it turned out. I had zero intention of it being a darkfic. Funny how your muse can do that sort of thing to you. :P
