I'm certainly going to either donate it or sell it, depending on how much I can get for it. And what prompted this latest wave of seriously thinking about chopping it is the "trim" my mom gave me the other day, in which I said "even it out" and she interpreted that as "chop off six inches". So it feels weird and short, but it also feels as though I've gone this far, it'll already take me probably almost a year to grow this much back, why not just chop it all the way NOW, since I'm probably going to eventually? Also, I always just put my hair up all winter because it just takes so long to dry and it freezes and it's a pain, and it might be nice to have it short so it'll actually DRY. And even with just this 6 inches off, I'm noticing it tangling less. So I think I'm leaning towards actually doing it this time. But I really want more opinions!
Nobody is giving me real advice! Grr--everyone is being all ambivalent. Or maybe they're just acting ambivalent so that after I've decided they can pretend they agreed with me all along. So come on, people: make a decision. On a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being "Hell no it's wonderful don't touch it" and 10 being "OMG you'd look fantastic with short hair", where do you stand?
Seriously, I think you should do whatever makes you feel most comfortable. I personally would miss it, but I think you would look good either way -- as long as it's not a buzz-cut or anything.
