1. Kuschall Compact. *Very* nice - stable, and supports my back, and I don't feel like I'm going to fall right out of it like I did with some that I tried, but it still gets me around quite well, even for medium distances outside. Not bad.
2. I did contact that agency, but they scared me a bit so I was pathetic and didn't register. Too late now. Oops. Will register with them for future events, I think.
Nothing major. *Everyone* official scares me :D I like their approach, and I'll probably register on the off-chance that the PA goes away again and they can be useful.
Go for it. I think I'm too late to sign up for anything agency-related now, because I am pathetic. If you know anyone who just wants even just a few of the hours, that would be good. Cheers.
Oh, I hope TG feels better soon, and I'm glad you made it home!
Very pleased that you have a decent wheelchair at last... from my rehab nursing experience, I know it takes months to get a wheelchair clinic appointment, and that's for a spinal injury inpatient, and then there's the months afterwards that you have to wait- I discharged a 75 year old man on friday who'd been with us 7 months and was still in a loaned wheelchair. All I can say is, despite their patronising attitude, thank God for the OTs in our hospital!
I don't *think* I know anyone who lives close enough to you to help, sorry, though if I do come up with anyone, I'll ask them!

Care - I don't know anyone. My only idea would be that agency who provide PA's not carers, but they are still an agency.
Hope Sharron feels better soon and you arn't overly shattered by her being ill. xx

Oh dear that they scared you! Why? Never mind - it was just my only thought. Good luck finding sdomeone.
