the Sarkney, finally

A long time ago (about a year) there was a story called Aflame. It was meant as a stand alone but you pushed and prodded for a sequel. Finally, when eretria interviewed Sark of "Aflame" last September, he admited:

I have seen Agent Bristow since then, yes. I believe Joanna is planning on telling that story as well, however, and so I'll leave it to her. I ( Read more... )

Wow ... damn you good. I'd pick bits out to comment on but it would reproduce the entire story. Needless to say, beautiful. Love the the use of secondaries to tell the story, very effective. There's more in what wasn't said than was and that's amazing. Wow again.

Thank you for taking the time to feedback. I'm really glad the secondary POV worked for you, I wasn't sure if I managed to pull that off. The Rossis were my first OCs. I'm really happy you enjoyed.

Ah! I love it. Aflame, I have to say, was the first Sark/Syd story I ever read (come to think of it, it may have been the first Alias fic I read, period) and it really touched me. Now we've got Like Time, and it's even more haunting and beautiful. Telling the story through the eyes of the Rossi's was a wonderfully elegant touch--it seems more real, somehow, than if we'd been reading Sark and Syd's thoughts. Lovely, wonderful job.

Thank you for taking the time to feedback.

The Rossis were my first OCs and so I'm really happy I managed to make them work.

I am also very proud for being at least partly responsible for sucking you into the world of Alias fanfic! *g*

Jo, I'm at a loss. I had never read Aflame before and I was blown away by both it and Like Time. The economy of words was beautiful. I loved how you didn't feel the need to use much dialogue to tell the story.

I'm sure I'm making no sense, so I'll quit babbling. Lovely job on both. :)

Oh, thank you. For such wonderful reaction and, again, the reccomendation.

The lack of dialogue is as much a tool as it is an escape, I don't feel comfortable writing Sark and Sydney speak, so I just take the easy way out. *g*

True to form, I loved the bits about Jack the best, but this was all wonderful.

Lovely, lovely work Jo.

Thank you, Anna, for taking the time to read and feedback, even though Sarkney is not your thing. I'm am genuinely pleased that Jack worked for you. I am always hesitant to write about the characters I am not as passionate about as Sark(ney) so it's really good to know it works.

Wow... Jo. I am SO impressed. I too, like the way the story was told through the Rossi's. It left so much hidden. I loved it. *swoon* More? :D

Thank you for taking the time to feedback - and I'm really happy you enjoyed my little story so much - and yes, there will be more. Just don't know when yet. *g*
