catching a breath, finally

Joanna - that was one powerful fic. The imagery was exceptionally vivid. My favourite part had to be Sark's act of 'complete submission' No words needed for the impact to sink in. Very, very well done.

More! *grins*

ps: The title's perfect too!

Oh my God, Joanna.

Even to be mentioned in the same UNIVERSE as this story makes me dizzy.

It's beyond good. It's a freaking rocket to the moon. You've surpassed Thunderstorm. I never thought I'd say that, but you have.

Your ability to pace the action so brilliantly--well, it's stunning, but only what one would expect from the artist who created Weapon and Play Dead. It's the bleak lyricism you achieve with words that's just annihilating. I'm killed, that's me over there in a little heap of scrap, blown away completely by this latest bit of genius.

We will never stop asking for more. I hope you understand this.

oh, jo. i finally got to read "aflame." how beautiful. sark's submission was really heartwrenching and really... well... bizarre. it was so well done and so in character, but what an odd mental picture. very well done. i can't wait to see a part two if it follows, but i think that stands alone just fine. :o)

brava!

Ugh!! WONDERFUL!! Will there be a sequel? Please let there be a sequel! It is complete as is but I want MORE! I really love this side of Sydney. She is so much more dominating and less whiny. She is a strong woman who has been hurt one too many times and that is carried through beautifully. Sark is just "whoa". He totally gave himself to Sydney in an act of submission that seems to be so unlike his character but in this fic makes perfect sense! MORE MORE!! and GREAT GREAT!
