Drink Up, Baby Down

Remember this song? The one that cues in The Holiday when Cameron meets Jude in the pub?

I love this freaking song. A girl choreographed a beautiful dance to it for our Dance Theatre show last year, and I've been in love with it ever since.

But this--this is amazing.

Let Go - Frou Frou

It was one of the songs Viv told me download a couple years ago.

Those girls are pretty good, yep.

Yay! You're welcome. I just thought it was so much fun.

I also found a whole bunch of other a capella videos on You Tube, of like Justin Timberlake songs and stuff. So much fun.

Also featured in the movie "Garden State".

Frou Frou is a pretty good band, and Imogen Heap is a really talented singer. Look up some of her stuff on YouTube (she's the main singer. The other member of the band is her husband, I think.).

Also, if you dig that, you should check out Zero 7, or for something more pop-ish, Metric.

I still have not seen that movie. I've been meaning to watch it for the looongest time. I'll have to find someone who wants to rent it with me.

Yeah, I've really enjoyed looking into Frou Frou...I was introduced to Imogen Heap through Paste magazine, have you ever heard of it? It's a really cool music magazine, and with every issue, they enclose a sampler CD and a DVD of all kinds of short films and music videos and stuff...it's pretty much awesome.

Anyway, for me, Imogen Heap is to Frou Frou as Phil Collins is to Genesis: It's hard for me to tell what songs are by the solo artists and which ones are by the group. Interesting that the other member is her husband. I definitely need to listen to more of her stuff, though. She's amazing.

And thanks for the reccomendations. I'll totally give them a try.
