This morning my father got the call from the hospital at around 4:30am this morning that my mother had passed away. Little did I know that when her sister and I left the hospital last night that this would have happened as she appeared to be fine. Four years ago she had stage four breast cancer. That's the same year my dad was born. Over the last year we have been fighting his low level bladder cancer. It seems to be on the ropes now, but its a serious wake up call to really look at your family and realize just how fragile life is.
