For what its worth, the vet I assisted for many years used to always recommend carnation canned milk mixed half with water at room temp to supplement kitties and puppies if they were also nibbling food. ;-)

Oh my goodness. What a sweet little thing. How anyone could even contemplate doing harm to an innocent, defenseless creature is beyond me. I'd take them all in if I could.
That's so amazing that your dog is so attentive and protective. I don't know what it is, but somehow they know that the little ones need extra watching over. So cute.
And you have a big heart for taking Dexter and giving him a loving, forever home. ♥
