Today, I got a mix CD in the mail from my penpal Katy. When I took the CD out to look at the tracklisting, I was expecting an ordinary mix CD. But I was very mistaken. I scanned the list, mentally going "oooh!" and "OMG!!!" along the way, until I reached track 16, which was the clincher. That's right, it was "PTA," with "My Fav. Pulp song possibly ( Read more... )

lit is such a dive, it's fabulous ... and the bowery is, well, it's kinda big and mainstream, but it's lovable all the same. they have really comfy couches in the bar area, which brings me much joy.

I'm going to the Sat. night too!

I think I'm a bit more excited about going to the Bowery/seeing my friends more than the actual YYYs show though, sadly. I still think its going to be cool though.

I am interested to hear your review on the YYYs show. I hate to say it, but I didn't really like the new singles I heard on itunes. I LOVE their older stuff though.

I'm not so hot on the new songs either. "Dudley" is alright, but it doesn't hit me like the older material does. "Gold Lion" sounds waayy too mainstream-rocky for me. And the video isn't much better.

I just listened to the clips on itunes and was all like :( :( :(

I had HIGH HOPES for the next album. I hope the rest of the songs are better than Gold Lion.

I'm sure it will:D Your "fave last songs" mix has lead me to obsessing over "The Dancer" by PJ Harvey again!!! Good song to obsess over, if you ask me.
