When I got to New York, I was really excited because, even though I had just been there at the beginning of the month, it seemed like forever since I last visted. Emaciated Rockers could be the antithesis of the Chubby Rockers community. Maybe once a year the Chubby Rockers could donate some sandwiches and pies and throw a fatty picnic for their bony brothers.

I feel this is a very good idea! Especially as it would make more people aware of the Chubby Rockers comm. It really needs to pick up speed; there are far too many posts about Ricky Wilson!!

I'm glad you had fun this weekend!!! The Edvard Munch exhibition was very very cool....too bad it was packed! But I'm glad we got our (Modern) Art on....!

Holy Hipster-Celeb Sandwich!

hahahahahah! i can't believe you saw James Iha again! Esp. after we had that conversation about spotting him!!!

and remember, you saw Albert Hammond, Jr., too! The Hipster Celebs always come out when Maria is around...;)

I hate to say this, but #1 Single was very good.....maybe it was just the atmosphere at Marie's that made it that good....but I'm going to try to watch it again, so we'll see!

miss you already!! glad you had fun at the YYY's!! and that Nick Zinner comment about him being almost THB-era Richey is scary. Somebody should give take that man to DeRobert's in the East Village...fatten him up. ;)

oxoxoooxox!

I'm glad we got our art on too! I look forward to doing it again sometime:)

Those hipster celebs do seem to come out when I'm around. And the hipster supermarkets seem to play better music!

Haha, I got your email--When I'm less busy I'll give you a proper response to it.

ha! i definitely saw james iha, and i was pretty sure i saw the tvotr guy, but i didn't want to be, like, GUYS! look over there! and have them be, like, wow, another brooklyn hipster, and...? but yeah for rockers not needing to be up in the balcony. SO LAME.

and hurrah for y-control. we totally won -- the setlist that night was so much better than the two others.

i actually ended up @ lit on friday night -- it's so adorable. to me, it's the very stereotype of sketchy nyc basement venue. i love it!

They'll come to the UK, I just know they will!!! And if they don't, you can experience the concert vicariously through my photos!

It's good to be back on LJ, although I don't feel like doing proper work and I miss the NYC!
