*On Friday, I was ordered to WASH DIRTY DISHES at work (um, I work as a writing tutor. I don't think that position involves cleaning dirty dishes that I didn't dirty). I ended up cutting my hand. Not badly, its just that since I'm not very COR-savvy, I didn't realize just how sharp butcher knives are. Still, it sucked.

I'm glad to have brought back all these old Manics memories for you!! And although Nicky is the star of these rants, James does add alot of nice little asides in the ones he is featured in:)

Don't worry, that wasn't an annoying question! I actually have a fair amount of live Manics stuff on my computer. Actually, I've got more live stuff than studio stuff! You've been so deprived not hearing any of these Wire disses 'til now!!!! I'm so glad I could enlighten you. Ahhh, and the journalist one is pretty great! It's just that I like the ones in which he targets specific people better. Although I never really liked the Michael Stipe one. That was a bit *too* mean. Pretty much all the other ones are BRILLIANT though.

Huh? Nicky wasn't continuing that myth (Michael Stipe hadn't come out at this stage, and the rumours he had AIDS weren't started by the Manics, they were everywhere). But the reaction to the rant perpetuated that myth - loads of dumb journos and half-arsed indie bands accused MSP of being homophobic. Like, why?

if it makes you feel better, I basically cut off the flesh on the right side of my right thumb nail by trying to open a can of beans....*lol* I was worried I'd forever have an ackward looking thumb..but the flesh has grown back!(??)!! Like a starfish...lose something and then just grow it back.

Oh no!! that can of beans incident sounds very very painful! the knife incident wasn't all that painful for me, more just irritating.

Haha, I'm starting to think I should really make a Top 5 Nicky Wire dresses list! I only ever really, really liked the floral dress he wore in the GATS era, though.

Hahahaha!! I remember that quote!! Its a great one, mainly due to how contradictory it is. I have one in which he says that Billy Corgan can't sing in-tune, and that's pretty contradictory too, because when Nicky Wire sings he seriously sounds like a cat being spayed.
