Almost forgot!!: My brother has a DJ name now! I guess this is funnier to me, because he's my brother, but anyway. Its a really stupid DJ nickname too. I had no clue my brother DJ'ed enough that he needed one. HILARIOUS

Wow, way to skip a whole chunk of this thing Rachel.
Um, song, "Marilyn Moore" by SY, movie... um... that really stupid werewolf/vampire one with Wolverine (PS I BOUGHT AMERICAN WEREWOLF FOR $8!!!) and the wish.... that we could both afford a kickass apartment together and throw parties and have the most fun in the world! Also if this is a really magic wish then Jarvis would come and DJ the party and then kiss us (at different times). And then... lots more would happen but you'd need to be on a filter to read about it.
I have Marilyn Moore, but I do not listen to it enough. I do need to see that vampire/werewolf movie though, 4srsly.
LAST NIGHT I HAD A DREAM IN WHICH JARVIS GAVE ME A HUG!!!! I EXPECTED MORE, BUT HEY, I'LL TAKE IT OVER HAVING DREAMS ABOUT CRISPIN GLOVER, WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT I HAD THE PREVIOUS NIGHT.
A++ RESPONSES ALL-AROUND!!!! The SWR one definitely made me LOL, as well as #10.
If I had a dj name...hmm...The guy DJ Fancypants was djing with was called DJ Womanmaker, right? Maybe I could be DJ Kittenmaker. It's a pretty stupid name, but not as stupid as DJ Womanmaker!

ahh, we actually met in the "JarvizCocker" community, aka, the Community to End All Communities!!!
I'm curious, what do you mean about fashions?
I've seen "City of Lost Children," and it was crazy! My fave Jean Pierre-Jeunet (I'm sure I misspelled that) movie is "A Very Long Engagement". Of course, "Amelie" is good as well:)
I'll get back to you on what I wish for
PS. I listened to your music, it was cool! Is that you counting off on the second-to-last song?
Re: http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/994/593/1600/toga.jpgthisisforrealJune 12 2006, 04:27:08 UTC
community to end all communities! ha yes!
fashions... i'd say that you and i share a style of clothing etc. i never really talk about it because it doesn't interest me much but i found it interesting that all of your clothes (that i've seen) are most agreeable and that i, if i were built for them (though i have indeed worn women's clothing in the past), would wear them proudly. i am sympathetic towards your clothing... not in a pity sort of way but just that they scream a sort of scream i'd want to be screamed for me too if i wore them.
wow, that is a plenty of gibberish, no?
i sure love city of lost children though i have not forgotten his others. i believe i love them in the order i have seen them reverse chronologically. excellent director! doing a film adaptation of a book (i never read) called 'life of pi'... interesting?
that is indeed my counting off the second-to-last track in a sort of mock-german that is innacurate of course. artistic license?
Re: http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/994/593/1600/toga.jpgcorpse_in_snowJune 12 2006, 18:02:16 UTC
That was certainly not gibberish!!!!!! It was well appreciated. Don't worry. One good thing I will say about myself is that I dress pretty nicely. I was actually going to make a list of things I DO like about myself, and clothing was definitely going to be one of them. It's weird---most of my fashion inspirations are male!! I'm technically including John Cameron Mitchell in "Hedwig and the Angry Inch," in that statement, even though he's dressed as a woman throughout. Anyway, I think Beck was my first major fashion inspiration, and it just snowballed from there.
I've heard of "Life of Pi," but am unsure of what its about.
It was cool to hear your voice, albeit very briefly!
I think we met thru a Pulp community, seems the most obvs way, no?
I've never seen Withnail and I!!! I will look into it though. thanks for the rec.:)
Don't worry, Razzmacats is here to stay!!!!! Even when the amount of userpics I'm allowed to have gets reduced, it shall remain because Jarvis+cats are meant to be together.
1. Who are you?a girl who lives in New York City who loves to travel and reads too much Primo Levi, listens to too much Brian Jonestown Massacre and spends too much time on her laptop. 2. Where did we meet? (if we met in a community..which one?)I think we met through elizabeth u. I'm not even sure anymore. All I remember is inviting you out for tea when I heard you were moving to NYC for the summer.:) 3. How long have we known one another? 1 1/2 years. time flies! 4. Would you consider me a friend or just an acquaintence? Not just a friend, but a dear wonderful friend. 5. What interests do we have in common? Wandering through the East Village, animals, esp. doggies, getting excited over James Iha sightings, vegatarian food, Sylvia Plath's "Bell Jar", Nick Cave, Edvard Munch, art (in general), Hedwig & The Angry Inch, John Cameron Mitchell, Cillian Murphy, Pulp, Manic Street Preachers, Debbie Harry on the Muppet Show.(lol!) 6. What fandoms do we have in common? Hedwig, Manics and Cillian Murphy until all the fangirls annoyed us. 7. Do

We did meet thru Elizabeth:) You recommended her a Manics song, and I clicked on your name and liked your friends banner (it was of David Bowie!), so I thought I'd ask to be friended!!!
I've downloaded the Nicky song but have yet to listen to it!! I will soon, though. Have you heard "I killed the zeitgeist" yet? It's pretty funny.
And I've never seen Frida, but I'm sure I'd like it. I'll have to check it out:) I still haven't seen Breakfast on Pluto (:ashamed:)
Ah yes! Now I remember! I'm glad I had a David Bowie friends banner back then so you friended me! :D
Re: ze Nicky song.
*LOL*!!!!! "Daydreamer Eyes" sounds like "I Killed the Zeitgeist", kinda. Similar vocal melodies that also appear on "Wattsville Blues". When I first listened to "Daydreamer Eyes" it didn't make any impression on me, but now that I've listened to it 3 times, I like it! It's a grower.
1. Who are you? Why _Cherryvanilla_ of course. 2. Where did we meet? (if we met in a community..which one?) On a Manics forum 3. How long have we known one another? Four years (scary), with gaps. You were only a wee youngster. 4. Would you consider me a friend or just an acquaintence? An internet friend. 5. What interests do we have in common? Music, words, being geeky 6. What fandoms do we have in common? Interpol, MSP, boys with cheekbones 7. Do you read my journal? Naturally 8. What is the best thing about it? Honesty 9. What is the worst thing about it? Nothing springs to mind 10. If I made filters that consis ted of family, sex, personal, rantings, or quizzes..which would you want to be a part of? All of them. Is that allowed? 11. Have you ever wanted to tell me something and didn't? Yes 12. Are you willing to tell me now? Nope 13. If you could ask me anything...what would it be? When you daydream, where do you see yourself in five years time? 14. Recommend one song to me. Upload if possible. "Wuthering Heights" by Albert Nyland
( ... )
10. If I made filters that consis ted of family, sex, personal, rantings, or quizzes..which would you want to be a part of? All of them. Is that allowed?
That question is silly, but yes, they're all allowed:)
When you daydream, where do you see yourself in five years time?
I see myself either editing or proofreading pieces of writing somewhere, and hopefully these pieces of writing will be written much better than everything I've had to edit in college.
I didn't like Tarnation as much as I thought I would. It was completely different from anything I'd ever seen, though. Did it get much press overseas?
Yeah, Tarnation got quite a lot of coverage. I loved it. It's outrageously self-indulgent obviously, but I couldn't care less. It's just nice to see films that are utterly original now and then - helps you remember that huge acts of innovation are still possible.
