I applaud you, I really do. Everything you said about friendships and drifting is 100% true, about finally talking to people who have always been there, you've just never realised. You sound like you actually had a good experience at school - I wish I did. Truth is, I'm glad I'm finally out. Not because it's an escape from the 13 year routine, but because I finally get to... for lack of better words, run away. To be quite honest, I'm glad I'm never going to see most of my class ever again, and they're probably happy too. Drifting is inevitable, but it's necessary. Mixing it up is good.
