A few nights ago, Rae and I caved and signed up for Hulu plus so we could watch recent episodes of Community and Law and Order. (Community continues to be one of the most brilliant, hilarious shows on tv right now, but more on that later ( Read more... )

Jack Davenport gets better and better in each episode. That show is nice fluff compared to the angst and heartache of Game of Thrones.

I'm glad to hear it! I've seen three episodes now, and I'm having a blast. And... yes. I need balance in my life, and a need an AWFUL lot of fluff to balance out GoT. (Once Upon a Time on Sunday nights is a good counterweight, too...)

And finally... I love your icon.

I went in with no expectations, so I'm having a lot of fun. (And I see what you mean about him getting the best lines. And any scene he's in with Angelica Houston is golden...)

Ummmm...Okay. So, I started watching SMASH with the highest of hopes (my own stupidity, I guess) but I love musical theatre and grew up with the old soundtracks, and have done some myself and...yeah. So, some of it is good and fun. However, just prepare yourself...How can I put this without saying too much? But I like you and want you to know...aaaand, something (5-10%) keeps me coming back for more, but at some point...Hey! I know ( ... )

Haven't seen you in forever! Hello!

I do love Angelica Houston... and any scene she's in with Jack? Priceless. And the singing is fun. I'd... actually kind of like to have the songs as additions to my big collection of show tunes.

I understand the comparison. I... tend to do this a lot. Watch not so great TV because actors I love are in it. If you think Robin Hood was bad... I once watched the entire run of a show called Valentine that... really wasn't good. It was about Greek gods living in Beverly Hills or some such nonsense, but the actor who played Ares had also played one of my very favorite Pirates of the Caribbean characters... and this show was... terrible. I'm trying to find something redeeming to say about it, but I... I just can't. Next to it, Smash is a darn good NY Times bestseller, and Robin Hood is Shakespeare.
