Title: So Long as the Peace is Kept

I take it this is the fic you were talking about before...? Wow. Very much worth the wait.

Beautifully written, vivid, very understated and just ... heartbreaking.

Yep, this is it.

I'm... sorry about the tears, but I'm glad it moved you. I cried twice while writing it, so it's nice to know other people felt the same. I think this was a case of, "OH MY GOD I have so many feelings about Theon, and if I'm in this much pain OTHER PEOPLE HAVE TO SHARE IT WITH ME."

Lots of people have said "Understated.." and that's good to know. I didn't want it to be maudlin. I just wanted it to... be. (And writing from Ned's PoV helped. He's... understated to begin with.)

Thanks for the comment! This actually came out of a conversation where some people were saying Ned wouldn't have actually done it, and others were like, "Yeah, he would have, otherwise the hostage system falls apart..." So of course I had to write a fic to prove it.
