Author's Notes: I got to talking with a friend of mine on tumblr, and she said something about how James' lieutenants should have gone with him... and I had to write this.  It is as close to crack as I'm ever going to get.

One of these two or three times in my life when I laughed aloud over a fic. Love it!!! :D There really needs to be some PotC Archive of the Best Lines Ever... *gasps and wipes laugh tears* And the next one, with Groves, competes with the first one.

I'm so glad I made you laugh... I DO enjoy having a bit of gentle fun at Mr. Gillette's expense. (He knows I still love him...)

I'd love a "best PotC fic lines" archive... and it'd be a great way to find new fics, too...

And finally, I've always thought Theo had his moments of being emotionally intelligent, if not exactly filled with common sense.

The Horizon's random quotes are the closest to this so far, but I imagine something where it would be the main goal. Just think how one could have a nice while or two at times... And accounts with collections of favourites... And possibility to adding... And links... ^^ (And the Horizon's not dead! porridgebird is afraid people can think so. Help, let's reassure her there are watchers!)

My own theory: James didn't want his disgrace to drag his friends down too, so he sneaked off to Tortuga without telling anyone. I've no doubt Andrew and Theodore would've gone with him given a chance.

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense... I think yours is the interpretation I'm more likely to go for when I'm being practical and not wishing that all of the sequels were basically the "James, Theo, and Andrew chase Jack Sparrow together and have wacky hijinks" movies.
