General Disclaimer: I own nothing.

Prompt: 098. Soothing
Paring: Kangin/Eunhyuk, Kanghyuk
Rating: PG
Words: 655
Summary: Right then, in their little world no words were needed, the silence ceased to be a burden on his soul.

When you live with a dorm full of guys, there are certain topics that are just bound to come up. Like, who always leaves the empty take-out containers in the fridge, or who forgot to feed the cat yesterday. Then there were the pointless conversations, like their list about the worst ways to die. It was an ongoing debate between the group. There were a couple of ways that they all agreed on, but for the most part they just couldn't settle it.

“I’m telling you!” Heechul yelled from his spot on one of the couches, nestled between Hangeng and Siwon. “Being eaten by lions is absolutely the worst way to die!”

Across the room, Donghae scoffed. “Please! Being abducted and tortured by aliens is obviously so much worse than your stupid lions.” The words seemed to bring a smile to almost everyone’s face except for Heechul. He couldn't help but stare rather petulantly at Donghae, muttering under his breath. “Aliens my ass.”

Eunhyuk sat on the far side of the room by Kyuhyun. There was a small, vacant smile on the dancer's face as the banter of his friends washed over him. Kyuhyun slung an arm around his shoulders expecting some sort of a reaction, when he got none, his lips turned down in a frown. Glancing across the room his eyes met Kangin's, whose brow furrowed in concern.

It took some time, but finally the dorm calmed down for the night. It took a couple reminders of their early morning, but soon enough everyone was marching off to bed like good little boys while mama Eeteuk shooed them all away. Donghae abandoned his room with Eunhyuk for the night, prefering to share a warm bed with Sungmin, leaving his room mate all alone.

The silence of the dark room was oppressive, and Eunhyuk found no comfort in it like he normally would. The red lights of his digital clock glowed, the minutes ticking by silently until they turned into hours. It was well into the early morning, but the dancer still couldn't seem to find any rest. All he could do was toss and turn, his mind filled with thoughts of death and other little gruesome tid-bits that he would prefer not to think about. Normally their discussions about the list amused him, and he was always jumping in with his own silly little contributions but tonight it had bothered him for some reason.

Eunhyuk's silence throughout the evening had been a noticeable one. More than one of the guys threw strange looks his way but he hadn't paid any attention to them. It was unusual and worrisome for all of them, even if they didn't show it.

The door to Eunhyuk's bedroom creaked open, the ambient light from the hallway flooding in. The light was a harsh contrast from the near pitch black of the room, forcing the dancer to squint to try and make out the figure that stepped into the doorway. The door shut just as abruptly as it opened and the soft smack of feet could be heard against the floor as the person crossed the room. Suddenly the bed dipped and a pair of strong arms wrap around Eunhyuk's waist, pulling him against the broad chest of a man that was now lying next to him.

"Kangin...?" Eunhyuk's voice was meek and raspy as if he were unsure about what was happening. At the soft grunt of ascent, the lithe body in Kangin's arms relaxed and curled up close. Eunhyuk's face pressed against a sturdy shoulder, and his arms slid around his waist. He'd finally found a tiny sliver of peace that had evaded him all night. No words passed between the two as strong hands smoothed over Eunhyuk's back, easing away all of his worries and fears. Right then, in their little world no words were needed, the silence ceased to be a burden on his soul.

Prompt: 062. God
Paring: Hankyung/Kangin, Kangyung
Rating: PG
Summary: Maybe, just maybe, there was some merit to what Siwon had to say.
Words: 349

Hankyung considered himself to be a logical sort of person; the type of person that believed in evolution and social justice. He was a nice person though, so he listened to Siwon’s talk of Christianity with open ears and understanding nods, but deep down he truly didn’t believe any of it. The likelihood of some all powerful, omniscient man ruling over them was just as likely as some flying spaghetti monster blessing us all with his noodly appendage.

RAmen.

There were few things in the world that could rattle his point of view. The first had been the car accident. He could still remember when they’d gotten the phone call, could remember sitting at home all night praying to some higher being that everything would be alright. In the light of the morning he’d forgotten all about his wishes for miracles to a God that probably wasn’t there, and if he was he wasn’t listening to some Korean pop star.

The second was when Kangin had been out all night and no one knew where to find him. He could remember standing out in the main room of the dorms at 2am, staring at the door and willing it to open. Hankyung’s mind skirted around and around, thinking of all of the horrible things that could possibly have happened to him. Hunched over, he clasped his hands and begged whatever was out there that he was alright.

It wasn’t until 3 o’clock in the morning that he got a call from a bar. Kangin was there, drunk as could be and they were closing down for the night, could he please come pick him up. Never before had Hankyung gotten dressed as quickly as he did right then.

In bed that night, Hankyung’s fingers ghosted across the apple of his lover’s cheek, his eyes gazing down at Kangin’s sleeping form. In the stillness and peace of the room, he couldn’t help but wonder if maybe, just maybe, there was some merit to what Siwon had to say, and if maybe someone really was watching down on them after all.

AN: It's been a long time since I've wrote anything, and my first time writing in this fandom. So be gentle. <3 Anyways, thanks for reading!
