Warnting to all who know me

Sep 28, 2008 16:35

Since my fellow employees have finally decided to trust our ineffectual union, our contract will be null and void as of Tuesday.

Meaning I'll be out of a job. With no severance and since the union is going on strike, no chance of unemployment pay.

I'm really sorry to hear about that, man! I really hope they can get back to negotiations, or that you are able to find something better~

do you mean the strike? hell no. The moment we go on strike I'm looking for other work.

Was the contract being given to us crap... yes.

Are we likely to get a better offer (or even another offer)... no.

We have given the company the keys to do what it really wants to do. Close the factory. And even better for them, they don't have to pay us $1000-1500 a person or maintain our insurance for 6 months.

That sucks. Almost makes a Republican out of me, though not quite.
