I grabbed up what cash we had left and shoved it in my back pocket. it had to be about 500$ or so. And we'd need the essentials of course. I guess when Buffy's mom went grocery shopping it had to have cost her about over 100 ech time so we should have about 400 and some to 300 and some after ( Read more... )

I was sent flying back into the mausoleum, smashing my back against the stone coffin in the middle. I slumped to the ground, my hand on my back. Damn that hurt. That piece of shit is so gunna die!

Oh but how I missed this. Being hauled up in airplanes and hotel rooms... I was just itching for the whole rough and tumble, down and dirty, slaying action.

"Doesn't any place have normal vampires anymore?!"

Well I guess Xander caught up with me. I pushed myself up from the stone ground and lunged at the demon, burying my stake into its back. The beast collapsed to the ground, blood oozing from the stake wound in its back.

I leaned back against the mausoleum and exhaled loudly. I looked over at Xander. "Hey. Get everything we need?"

I opened my eyes and blood spewed out of the mutated rats back covering Faith. I couldn't help to laugh. With that kind of stuff on her she'd be in the shower all night. I smiled as she helped me up. "Yeah, I got it." That's all? No, of course not. No, "thank you for distracting the monster Xander. how can I ever repay you? Will sex do? and this time, it'l man something." Yeah, she'd NEVER say that.

I laughed at her and stepped back. "Do you mind walking home about 11 feet apart from each other?" I asked half joking and half actually serious. She reaked! I held my nose and walked by ignoring the smell and gaining dsitance between Faith and I. Mostly because I didn't want to spontaneously kiss her right then and there but also because of the smell.

God this stuff was rank. And sticky. Damn. How gross. And the smell? I understood why Xander didn't want to walk by me. I didn't want to walk by me. Thought I might pass out right there from the smell. I couldn't escape it. I so needed a shower.

"Yeah, whatever. I wouldn't want to walk by me either. I just wanna get this shit off me."

I nodded and laughed knowing that she and I were both serious. I stayed well away from her the whole way back to the apartment. I even took a seperate elevator. Except when I got up there the door was open, clothes were strewn in a path to the bathroom and it reaked.

She had taken the stairs....and beaten me!
